Help Santa Toy Parade

Hi again,
 
The Help Santa Toy Parade is this Saturday and Santa wants to make sure all the boys and girls get a gift this Christmas.  You can help out by bringing a new toy or cash to the parade route - firefighters will be walking the route to collect it.  You can also drop off toys at any fire station until December 20th.  We always look forward to this magical and giving day.  It's all about smiles for the little ones.
 
I'd also like to remind you about the Great Fame For Food Drive.  We know that times are tough and there's no doubt more people are going to need help this year putting food on the table.  So, your mission is to help us out.  Start a food drive in your office and set up a collection bin.  A few cans donated by you and your colleagues adds up.  Spread the word.  Check out our website at www.atv.ca for more information on the food drive.
 
Today I had the pleasure of co-presenting the United Way Community Builder Award to our very own Steve Madely.  It was a complete and total surprise as we ambushed him on the air on CFRA and we showed it live on 'A' Morning.  Oh what fun!  The look on his face was priceless.  Steve champions many causes in our community including supporting the military, the Cancer Foundation, the Mayor's Roundtable on Homelessness and Housing, the Bruyere Continuing Care Foundation, and more.  Congratulations Steve - well deserved!
