The words seem so simple as I’m writing them, but THANK YOU!
A million thank yous to all our A-Morning and A-News viewers who came out today to support our
Great Fame For Food Drive 2008 for the Ottawa Food Bank.
We had PODS in various locations all over the city and in the valley and were collecting food for those who are in need at this time of year and all year round. This year is a particularly hard year for everyone and still you found the time to get in your cars in crazy morning traffic, bundle up your kids, brave the cold, raid your pantries, even your own piggy banks to give unto others. Amazing.
It warms your heart and puts tears in your eyes to see what we’re all capable of and willing to do to help others when we put our hearts and minds to it.
I’m taking a short break to warm up and getting ready to head back out to the Ottawa Food Bank to help unload all of the PODS of food that are currently being collected and brought there.
We will be unloading it all live on A-News at 6 and everyone is so excited to see how well we did!!
We’ll be issuing a full report card to all of you on A-Morning and A-News at 6.
We can’t thank you enough for your support today and way to go everyone!!
We should all be proud of what we’ve done… TOGETHER!
