Spring thoughts

For the past week I've been thinking about spring and as I look at the calendar I realize why. Spring arrives one month from today. I've noticed the days are getting longer and or course I'm starting to see spring items in the stores - everything from fashion to riding lawn mowers. It's my favourite season because everything comes alive - soon the buds will be on the trees and the grass will be green. But first - a little more winter.
It's the final weekend of Winterlude this weekend - if you haven't had a chance to take part this is the weekend to get it done! With some fresh snow on the ground and mild temperatures on the way the conditions will be ideal.
There's always a lot going on behind the scenes here and starting next week we launch two new contests. One we've been telling you about is the Celebration Vacation trip for 4 to Walt Disney World. The other is the Great Grocery Giveaway - very timely given the recent data from Statistics Canada. The cost of food increased over January of last year by 8.6 per cent.
