Pancake Tuesday

It's Pancake Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday - the same name with the same theme - pancakes! We had our fill of the delightful stacks this morning with Angie at Korey Kealey's and with us the new Executive Chef at the NAC Michael Blackie. I found a cute little story this morning with a formula to make the perfect pancake. A math professor at Wolverhampton University has created this algebra formula: 100 - [10L - 7F + C(k - C) + T(m - T)]/(S - E). What???? And I thought it was just as simple as preparing the batter and frying.
A huge congratulations to Michael Blackie. After six years at Brookstreet Perspectives restaurant he is on the move to the National Arts Centre as the new Executive Chef. He's taking over the reins from Kurt Wadele who has been there for 30 years. Both men are exceptional with their culinary skills and are both great community ambassadors as well. He officially assumes his new position March 9th - we wish him well and look forward to continuing our relationship on 'A' Morning.
