Guinness Poutine

Ingredients

Ingredients  (Sauce):

  1. ½ cup/120ml Guinness
  2. 1 cup/240ml Brown Gravy  
  3. 2 tbsp/30ml Butter   
  4. 2 tbsp/30ml Corn Starch   
  5. ½ tbsp15ml Water   
  6. Salt & pepper to taste

Ingredients:

  1. 8oz/250g per person Fries    
  2. pinch Sea Salt   
  3. 1/3 cup/80ml per person Guinness gravy  
  4. 2oz package/60g Cheese curds 

Preparation

Sauce:

  1. Bring Guinness and gravy to a simmer
  2. Mix corn starch with water and add to simmering sauce while stirring.
  3. Simmer 2 min, remove from stove
  4. Add butter to hot sauce and incorporate
  5. Season to taste

 

  1. Deep fry fries until crisp and golden brown.
  2. Drain and season with sea salt.
  3. Place in bowl, pour hot Guinness gravy over the fries and top with the cheddar curds
  4. Serve and enjoy
